TingaTinga Capital is thrilled to announce the hiring of its first intern, Alex Moore. In addition to working as an non profit intern here in the USA, Alex will also spend 7 weeks in Uganda as the inaugural participant in our BridgeBuilders Fellowship program. Alex is a senior entrepreneurship major at Grove City College. The combination of his unique skill set and passion for TingaTinga’s mission make him the ideal candidate for us to launch an internship program as we expand our reach and take further steps towards executing this vision.
Alex is gifted in a variety of capacities – in addition to being bright, personable, and ambitious, he is a talented web developer with a knack for optimizing internet presence. He also has a sound understanding of business model fundamentals and basic corporate structures – TingaTinga looks forward to capitalizing on this skill set as he works to define a structure for the future of the BridgeBuilders Fellowship program, help us grow our presence on the web, and generally make strides toward formalizing and executing our vision.
Alex will work hand in hand with Benson Ocen’s “I Live Again” program in Uganda, and will be exploring how best to restore hope and vision to those that have been affected by the 25 year war in Uganda. Alex’s entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen will come alongside Benson’s vision to economically empower the graduates of ILA’s trauma counseling program, and help the ILA program itself take steps towards economic independence. Alex will be updating this blog throughout the summer, so you can look forward to getting to know him and taking a closer look at what’s happening on the ground in Uganda.
